In brief

An engagement with FIAON Global begins with a call or a direct order on screen. Once your payment has been received, the kick-off call and the documents come next, followed by the review by the partner tax adviser, the formation with EIN and ITIN, and then the account and cards. The company is usually in place after a few weeks; depending on the package, support lasts from around eight weeks to six months or longer.

The eight steps

1. Call or direct order: Thirty minutes with your contact — or order directly: choose a package, enter your company details, sign the contract on screen.
2. Contract and invoice: You receive both immediately by email, together with access to “My order”. The contracting party is FIAON LTD in London.
3. Payment received: Work begins when your payment is received. Your contact then gets in touch to arrange the kick-off call.
4. Kick-off call and documents: The legal form, the state and the name are decided; you upload five documents to your document room.
5. Review by the tax adviser: Before formation, our partner tax adviser reviews how your company will be treated in your home country and which filings are due there.
6. Formation: Company, EIN, ITIN, registered agent, US address and phone number, operating agreement. Our team on the ground files and collects; you upload your documents in “My order”. The ITIN is issued by the US tax authority on its own timeline.
7. Cards: With complete documents you submit the first application to a US issuer — usually with a small limit and no cash deposit, but with a personal guarantee from the owner. We prepare the application; the issuer decides.
8. Bank: With an established history, a loan from a US bank may become an option. FIAON prepares documents and key figures; you apply to the bank, which assesses the application under its own rules.

What you need to know

A US company that is managed from Germany, Austria or Switzerland remains taxable there; its formation must be reported to the tax office (in Germany under section 138 of the German Fiscal Code, AO).
Annual filing duties apply in the United States even without revenue (Form 5472 with Form 1120), along with state fees and the cost of the registered agent.
US business credit cards generally require a personal guarantee from the owner. The institution alone decides on the account, the card and the limit.
Your money back if we do not deliver: If your US company and the EIN are not in place by the date we agree with you at the start, we refund the package price. This requires complete documents and your cooperation. It does not cover a refusal by an authority for reasons relating to you or your company. Decisions by banks and card issuers are not part of this commitment.
