Loans without SCHUFA — the whole truth.

They exist. They are small, expensive and strictly checked — and around them stands the biggest fraud industry in the German credit market. Here is what you need to know before you sign anywhere.

What legitimately exists

So-called Swiss loans from foreign banks without a SCHUFA enquiry: fixed sums of €3,500 to €7,500, terms around 40 months, effective rates of 10 to 16 per cent, an attachable income required. Without income there is nothing.

Spot fraud in 30 seconds

Advance costs before the payout, home visits with add-on products, guarantee promises such as “100 % approval”. Legitimate lenders never demand money before money flows.

The better route

Request the data copy, check every entry, enforce deletion where it can be challenged — then the normal credit market is open again at normal rates. FIAON does not broker loans and receives no commission from lenders.

Frequently asked questions

Are there legitimate loans without SCHUFA?

Yes, but only a narrow category: so-called Swiss loans from foreign banks that make no SCHUFA enquiry and do not report to it. They are limited to small sums (usually €3,500 to €7,500), considerably more expensive than normal instalment loans and require an attachable income. Without a steady income there is nothing there either — anyone who promises otherwise is not selling a loan but a trap.

How do I recognise dubious providers?

By three patterns: advance costs (fees, expenses or “insurance” that fall due before the payout), home visits or agent contracts with add-on products, and guarantee promises such as “100 % approval despite negative SCHUFA”. Legitimate lenders never demand money before money flows.

What does a loan without SCHUFA cost?

Considerably more: the effective annual rates are usually between 10 and 16 per cent — for a regular instalment loan with a decent credit file it is 5 to 9. On €5,000 over 40 months that quickly makes a difference of €1,000 and more.

Does my bank see that I have taken out a loan without SCHUFA?

Not at the credit bureau — that is exactly the purpose. But the instalment appears on your bank statement, and in every later credit check it counts in the household calculation. Concealed instalments that turn up there cost more trust than an explained entry.

What is the better route?

In most cases: put the credit file in order instead of circumventing it. Many negative entries can be challenged — wrongly reported, expired or entered without the legal requirements. Once the file is clean, the normal credit market is open again, at normal rates.

Does FIAON help with credit brokerage?

No — FIAON does not broker loans and does not sell financial products. FIAON obtains your reports from SCHUFA, KSV and CRIF, checks every entry for whether it can be challenged and enforces deletion or correction where the law allows. The goal is that you do not need a workaround loan.
